Vernon is situated between three beautiful lakes: Okanagan Lake, which is 90 miles long and offers an abundance of camping and water activities from swimming to parasailing and boating. Kalamalka Lake (the "lake of many colors") boasts many sandy beaches to relax on within minutes to town, and pristine waters. Swan Lake offers winter sports including ice-fishing, skating.

Vernon is home to a diverse arts community. With a brand new Performing Arts Centre you can take in a play or musical performance. In our new Civic Arena you can enjoy our local BC junior hockey games and many minor hockey tournaments as well.
